the heart of her art
Kathy's personal story as a painter of children may
surprise you. When she was offered a contract to
paint children...she declined! All she wanted to
paint was landscapes and wildlife. However,
she grudgingly accepted the contract.
After much research, prayer, and soul searching,
Kathy adopted illustrator Norman Rockwell as
her model for personality and Besse Peace
Gutmann for her soft, timeless paintings of
children. Blending the two, Kathy developed
her own destinctive painting style.
Today Kathy's passion is sharing in the
celebration of motherhood and the priceless,
precious gift of our children. Kathy prays
viewers SEEING her paintings will
respond by REACHING for their children!
